The Glacier King - Klausnerhof

The Glacier King meets his Queen

The best wine growers around Göttlesbrunn and the family Klausner formed a close friendship over the years, due to their common passion for top-quality wines. Something unique emerged – the Glacier King (red) and the Glacier Queen (white).

Cuvée specialities of Austria’s top wine growers: The Glacier King exclusively at Klausnerhof

Insiders already know which noble treasures have been stored in Martin Klausner’s wine cellar. Thanks to the hotelier’s great passion for wine and his long-term friendship with Austria’s best wine growers, wine lovers can now savour an exquisite rarity. For the first time renowned wine growers from Göttlesbrunn/Carnuntum launched a new cuvée specialty exclusively for the Klausnerhof – a ruby-red drop of top class wine.

Taferner, Lager, Marowitsch, Schulz, Pimpel, Netzl and Oppelmayer are well-known wine growers who have invented the product “Glacier King”, an appropriate name for the cuvée (of Merlot, Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon). Our guests can savour the wine gem in the cosy restaurant facing the Hintertux Glacier.

The famous wine growers have accomplished something great due to their friendship to the Klausnerhof. The wine connoisseurs agree: “The Glacier King softly tempts the palate and stands out by the blackberry aromas and the heavy structure.” This is why our landlord is looking forward to spoiling the wine lovers among his guests with the “Glacier King.” After all, at Klausnerhof every guest is a (glacier) king:

  • skiing enjoyment 365 days a year on Hintertux Glacier
  • exclusive recreation in the Panorama-Spa of the house with view over the majestic peaks
  • unforgettable degustation in our wine cottage on the 6th floor
  • wine tours through our hotel with Martin and his daughter Magdalena

“The Glacier King softly tempts the palate and stands out by the blackberry aromas and the heavy structure. Our fine drop is preferably served with game dishes, red meat and mature cheese.”
